The
Women Artists of Kaua'i will be having a special Silent Art Auction and Art
Exhibit at the Kukui Grove art exhibition space on the weekend of
September 14 through 16, 2012. The purpose of this event is to raise
funds for Nana's House and Hale Ho'omalu (Child and Family Service) which are both family support
centers providing a food pantry, clothing closet, parenting classes,
counseling, head start and healthy start programs, legal services and
much, much more...and all for free to the community.
The
opening reception and art auction will begin at 5 p.m. On Friday,
September 14, and the winners of the art auction will be announced
promptly at 8 p.m. One hundred percent of the art auction proceeds will
be going directly to Nana's House and Hale Ho'omalu.
The
art exhibit will continue through Sunday and twenty percent of the
proceeds from all art sales will go to the charity. Hours for the art
exhibit will be Friday, September 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday,
September 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, September 16 from 11
a.m. to 4 p.m.
A
big mahalo goes out to Kauai Society of Artists for use of their space,
Kukui Grove, and the women artists who so graciously donated their art
and time for this fundraiser. For more information please visit www.womenartistsofkauai.org or call Marionette at 808-631-9173.
